Sustainable Mini-Grids and Hybrid Technologies

The GEF-funded project was designed to implement the specifics barriers for unlocking (private) investment in the sustainable off-grid sector (solar based mini-grids and Solar Home Systems) for increased access to modern, reliable, and affordable electricity to peri urban and rural areas of Djibouti. The role of Fokabs is to assess the achievement of project results against what was expected to be achieved and draw lessons that can both improve the sustainability of benefits from this project, and aid in the overall enhancement of UNDP programming.

Some of the activities include:

  1. Review of project documents.
  2. Field visits and stakeholder consultations.
  3. Preparation, revision, finalization, and submission of the evaluation report.
