The ten member states of COMIFAC: Burundi, Cameroon, DRC, Rep of Congo, Gabon, Central Africa Rep, Rwanda, Chad, Equatorial Guinea, Soa Tome and Principe participated actively during the UNFCCC COP22. FOKABS helped these countries to effectively articulate and integrate COMIFAC’s positions and views into the UNFCCC COP 22 discussions and decisions. We provided technical and strategic advice and prepared position papers and briefs for COMIFAC climate focal points and ministers during the “elaboration of the rules book” for implementing the Paris Climate Agreement (APA). Areas covered included: mitigation, adaptation, global stocktake, transparency, compliance and the implementation.
