Evaluation of Congo Basin Green Economy project

The 3 year project supports: (i) the improvement of ecologically-based land use planning of national and regional policy and regulatory frameworks and (ii) the establishment and implementation of best practice models for environmental safeguards and mitigation with particular focus on activities in the Tri-national Dja-Odzala-Minkebe – TRIDOM landscape. FOKABS’ role is to evaluate what has been achieved so far based on the project objectives and as per the strategies contained in the project document and what lessons can be learnt; and provide recommendations that will serve in the elaboration of a new phase of the Green Economy project with focus on palm oil especially as key component towards the realization of the WWF food practice goal as well as other related aspects on mining (focus on artisanal and small scale mining and infrastructure development).
