Africa Private sector report on green investments to fight climate change

This African Development Bank (AfDB) report, led by a Fokabs expert, showcases African countries’ commitments to implement the Paris Climate Agreement through the implementation of their nationally determined contributions (NDCs).

The report analyses the implementation of NDC-aligned activities in Africa and presents challenges, opportunities, and recommendations for the private sector. The report covers North, West, Central, East, and Southern African regions and focuses on seven key sectors that include: climate-smart agribusiness and forestry; sustainable transport and infrastructure; green buildings and smart cities; renewable energy (RE) and energy efficiency; waste management; water and irrigation; and the financial sector. For country specific cases, Fokabs expert led the preparation of similar reports for South Africa and Egypt.
