Development of GCF Energy Sector Transformation Program in the Caribbean

Fokabs in partnership with CPCS is developing a high quality and approvable Green Climate Fund (GCF) funding proposal (FP) and all supporting annexes for the “Scaling up the deployment of Integrated Utility Services (IUS) to support energy sector transformation in the Caribbean program”. The project will implement the following activities:

  1. Assess baseline conditions and current & projected climate change challenges and impacts in the energy sector in each Borrowing Member Countries (BMC), and articulate the ‘high-level vision’ for a low-emissions and climate-resilient energy sector in each country.
  2. Identify eligible distributed renewable energy (RE), energy efficiency (EE) and other Distributedenergy resources (DER) technologies & practices and IUS arrangements, assess market demand in each country, and develop the consolidated feasibility study.
  3. Develop an Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF) for the programme.
  4. Develop a Gender Assessment and Gender Action Plan (GAP) for the programme.
  5. Prepare the integrated financial model for the programme.
  6. Prepare the monitoring and reporting framework for the programme.
  7. Formulate the programme Funding Proposal and all other relevant annexes.
