Validation Workshops: Climate Finance & Agriculture NDCs in Chad & Cameroon

N’Djamena – Chad from 10 to 11 May 2019 & Douala – Cameroon from 23 to 24 May 2019. The overall objective of the workshops was to contribute to the improvement of climate finance to support agriculture in general and climate smart agriculture (CSA) especially in ACP countries. The presentation of the country case studies laid the foundation for these workshops.

The workshop will aim to achieve the following objectives: to discuss thoroughly and validate the findings of the country study on NDC and agriculture conducted by the consultant to stakeholders in Chad & Cameroon; identify priority options and models to support private sector co-investment to support AIC in particular and agriculture in general in Chad & Cameroon; discuss mechanisms to raise the profile of agriculture in the implementation of the NDC in Chad & Cameroon and identify the main priority action points to promote climate action in Chad & Cameroon, to be submitted to the regional meeting on NDCs and climate finance for agriculture.
