Feasibility study of photovoltaic system to residential buildings

The project aims at determining the feasibility for the use of a solar PV as an energy source to residential buildings in Lagos State as a stand-alone system or back-up for grid energy.  Experts from FOKABS, together with other experts will generate new knowledge for decision making. Our specific contribution:

  • Design of the methodological package employed in the collection of electricity load profile data of residential buildings in Nigeria.
  • Data analysis, modelling and design of residential solar photovoltaic systems.
  • Economic and environmental (greenhouse gas emission reduction) analysis for the use of solar photovoltaic systems in residential dwellings.
